My Story
Hey ya’ll! My name is Jewell Eason, owner of Buttahfly Creations. I a women owned minority custom design and event planning company located in Buffalo, NY. By day I work for a charity, but I use this company and Buttahfly Weddings to release my creativity.
Buttahfly Creations was created in 2021 after I made Mother’s Day gifts for a few of my family members. My mom posted them on Facebook, and I received over 50 orders in 2 weeks. That sparked an idea for me to start a business. I planned about 6 weddings and 10 other events within the first year and absolutely fell in love. Within the 3 years, I have helped over 50 my customers celebrate their special occasions.
After 2 years of successful party & wedding planning, custom design items and rentals, I knew it was time to branch off and started Buttahfly Wedding! I am hoping this website will help my brides find what they are looking for easier and faster! We will still partner with Buttahfly Creations to make our custom design items but now brides can find all things wedding in one place.
What’s with the Butterflies?
We chose the name Buttahfly because butterflies represent a change. I was at a point of my life where I was going through so many changes: COVID was rampant, I just graduated college, and was trying to figure out my next steps in life.
Butterflies have many stages of change and so does event planning & custom design. We are here to help you through every stage and ensure that your items are perfect and customized just for you!
Why Butt-AH-fly? Well, that’s just how we say butterfly. We wanted to stick out from everyone else and this is the best way for us to be recognized. Every time we go somewhere, brides will say “oh, you’re the butterfly place but it’s spelled different!” So, we love being B-U-T-T-A-H-F-L-Y!
